In reaction to misinterpretations the American Psychiatric Affiliation considers pedophilia a sexual orientation thanks to wording in its printed DSM-5 handbook, which distinguishes between paraphilia and what it calls "paraphilic condition", subsequently forming a division of "pedophilia" and "pedophilic ailment", the Affiliation commented: "'[S]e
